Give Me a Simple Life

simplicity - serenity
The past few days has found me with very mixed emotions for no apparent reason, and the draining feeling had me struggling to get motivated, so I went with the flow and just chilled doing minimal tidying and cleaning as I wandered around the house like a lost lamb.
I really don't know where my emotions are at, as though I could easily burst into tears for no reason, with my head in a fog, struggling to get my thoughts together, with everything I say and do seeming to go wrong.
Knowing that we are in the midst of our summer season and our annual school holiday period I had put my distracted mood-swings down to that.
Sometimes when in this state I drift through the day totally oblivious to my surroundings, in tunnel vision mode, focusing only on some miniscule nothing that had inadvertently caught my attention and thoughts. Trying my hardest to focus and gain some form of understanding, while noticing all that is connected to make up that entity, and comprehending nothing else.
While being aware, being inclusive in this moment I try to do so without judgement, trying to understand why and how things have come about.
When in this mood I try and focus on the good in my life, my family, friends, my achievements, and all the good I do with my Autism Support network and programs, and the joy I gain from creating quilts and other items into beautiful  pieces for others to enjoy.

No matter how hard we try to face each day acknowledging all that is good, looking at the world through rose colour glasses, the reality of life always seems to sneak through and slap us in the face.
Watching humanity as an observer, overseeing the lives of others that pass me by,
I am amazed we as a race have made it this far.
I'm not perfect, I don't proclaim to be, I live my life willingly giving to others and never taking myself, that's my choice, I earn what I have and am proud of my achievements; so why are there others that feel they are 'entitled' to the greed of taking what they haven't earned or that isn't theirs?

Hatred and Jealousy are two main reasons we face a world so segregated,
Leaving us fearing for our own existence.
The amount of crime, violence, killings, and so much more we hear about and witness on television, news reports, and in our own communities.
We're forced to face the sad reality that one single person can degrade, humiliate, and harm another person so much, targeting others for simply living and enjoying their life or for being 'different'.
Violence is escalating out of control with some people using anything and everything they can as an "excuse" to target another individual.
Stranger against stranger, enemy against enemy, friend against friend, family against family.
Regardless of the connection some people have an inept way of making every part of their reality all about doom-and-gloom, bringing others down in their wake.

I am in no way racist... I have MANY friends and associates from many different ethnical backgrounds, my husband also has formed many friendships and worked with a vast range of people from many different cultures,
my father was born in England and migrated to Australia when only 13,
my own daughter-in-law is aboriginal and my lovely grandson therefore is as well,
two of my other grandchildren are of Torres straight islander heritage.

I believe all races can and should live together as one in our country or any country.
........ although .......I am only human and concerned with the current issues we are facing.
No matter what the person's religion, background, lifestyle, and so on may be, those who leave their country of origin to relocate to our shores, for a 'BETTER life', while then believing they have the right to dictate their beliefs and ways of life onto us, the same life they were so urgently needing to escape from, and now demanding we must acknowledge and conform into our culture.
I believe we all have the right to our own opinions, beliefs, and lifestyle, as long as we are not committing a crime, or putting others in any form of danger, or forcing those beliefs onto others that have their own direction, when doing so.
Unfortunately we are seeing more and more people who are consistently trying to take away our personal rights, security, safe living conditions and freedom, having us fear for our safety every-time we venture out into the public sector...............we cannot ignore these issues.
No-one can argue that the situations we continually face across the world is the reason we all fear more and more what lies ahead in our future and resulting in us wanting to find a resolution before it gets any worse.
Regardless of who these individuals are, locals, neighbours, immigrants, that instigate each criminal act, while also understanding it is easier said than done and so hard to segregate and remove these zealot's from our general population, but when the safety of free-living people are in danger, we need to band together for the "right' reasons and stand up for calm, peace, acceptance, of all without taking anything for granted.

OK!!!
Well I realise that was a tad bit passionate,
but sometimes we need to vent our feelings and emotional expression,
Now I have that out of my system, we could use it to learn a little tolerance, understanding, patience, acceptance, and all those positive feelings and emotions, then how to give rather than take, while also hoping others gain from what they see.
As far as everything else I hope that being aware, safe, and cautious, will keep us personally protected from any negativity.
